When I was growing up, my older sister and I were arch enemies. Not only was she bossy and fond of torturing me for no apparent reason, but I knew for a fact that our parents loved her more than me. After all, one had to look no further than her handsome, elaborately detailed and brimming-with-photos baby book -- and compare it to my own virtually empty, pink plastic hospital-issued model -- to figure that out.

A woman in Canada is allowing a Facebook poll conducted by FabFind.com to determine the name of her unborn baby. People continue to find new and interesting applications for the 3rd most popular site on the planet, huh? Though some of the names on the list are strange and barely pronouncable, like Eudaimonia, this is actually not such a crazy concept. Think about it. People have looked for inspiration for "the perfect" name since the dawn of time. Baby names come from everywhere from the bible to a character in a book or play -- even after singers and celebrities. (My step-sister is Erica as in Erica Kane and there's a Jagger -- named after Mick -- on my son’s baseball team.) And I have friends who’ve done the “where we conceived” method and come up with Brooklyn and London. (You, of course, need to try and conceive somewhere that would make a good moniker -- not Vegas or Scarsdale.)  Let’s not forget celebrities who make naming kids after fruit seem adorable.
