Today, the largest sewing event in the United States, the Sew Expo will be opening doors for their 27th year! From March 3rd-6th, the Puyallup Fair and Events Center (1110-9th Ave. SW, Puyallup, WA 98371), right here in Washington State will be open to attendees from all over the world, with over 100 educational seminars, free demos, fashion shows, and over 400 booths and vendors. This not-for-profit educational event is managed by Washington State University and is open to folks with all levels of expertise, from novices to experts. You can attend to stock up on supplies, to learn new techniques, and to connect with others who share a passion for sewing and stitchery!There is even a Pro-Am Sewing Exhibition sponsored by Coats and Clark on Sunday, March 6th showcasing creations on the runway done by sewing “rookies” who have been mentored for the last 3 months by sewing pros. All proceeds from the Exhibition Sunday will be donated to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in Tacoma, Washington.
